ELSA Karlstad

About ELSA Karlstad

The European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) is the world’s largest independent law students’ association, divided in national and local groups. In total, ELSA consists of approximately 60 000 members from over 400 faculties in Europe. In Sweden there are eight local groups, one of which is ELSA Karlstad.

If you are interested in legal matters from an international perspective, ELSA Karlstad is the association for you! We offer a wide range of academic activities, such as lectures, seminars and study visits.  As a member of ELSA Karlstad you also get access to our social events, such as our yearly banquets. Our social activities are perfect excuses for a study break, and a great way to network and make new friends.

ELSA’s international status also enables us to provide many opportunities for our members from all around our student network. If you want to make use of your legal knowledge, the ELSA traineeships programme offers paid traineeships all over Europe. If you want to attend social events and acquire insight into the ELSA network, we recommend participating in ELSA’s international events. For instance, you can join an ICM (International Council Meeting), or take part in the yearly Baltic Sea Exchange.

Do you want to get involved in ELSA Karlstad?  Then you should apply to become a Director and work closely with the board, or maybe even apply for a position on the board itself. If you are genuinely interested in having a position that can lead to you having an opportunity to create change for your fellow students we encourage you to do so. Being active in the association is a great way to network and make new connections.

If you have any questions about ELSA Karlstad, or just want to know more about the association, you are welcome to contact us. In any case, keep yourself updated on our upcoming events by following our socials!
